I titled my Blog, "The Way I Dreamt It To Be", because after my Divorce of 22+ years, I needed to re-discover myself and all the things I used to dream about but forgot. My name is Kristen. I am a mother of 4 Children. I have always loved Interior Design, but put my dreams aside to support the X-Husband and his dreams and Family bussiness. After many years of waiting for "my turn", I opened my own Home Decorating and Furniture store. But, with the fact that the economy took it's turn, and the divorce, we decided to close the store after only 3 years. I am a 8 year Breast Cancer survivor. Diagnosed when I was 32. I believe in living simple, and I believe life should be fun and taken a little less seriously. I believe we can all change when needed, to find our true happiness. This Blog is to help me find what I have lost over the years. It is to remind me of what makes me happy. It is to share with others what I am doing to change my life, and share my thoughts and ideas on subjects geared toward Home Decor, or just simple everyday momments. I am not a professional at any certain subject, but I would like to share my ideas and thoughts.
My Family on Thanksgiving! I went down to Corvallis to spend the day with my Parents (John, in the back and Tina, front right) and my four Children. Alex (the tall Blonde in the back), Anita (the short haired girly on the right side making her wonderful face!), Ian (the big strong brown haired dude in the middle) and Nick (shorter....but taller then Mom guy with Blonde hair on the right). My Aunt Ruthie (far left) was there as well and myself.
It was great to see ALL of my Kids at the same time! Since my divorce, this has not happened.
